OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES

Last night I had one of the hardest nights I have had in a long time. It was emotional and painful, but encouraging and sweet. It is times like that when I have to run to my Daddy and cry and yes, even TRUST. You see I am learning to trust Him, but it is not without Him speaking to me continually and showing up in tangible ways.

I am alone right now by His design for this season and for some reasons in my marriage I will not discuss, but I am not alone - He has sustained me. He has loved me, He has spoken to me, He has blessed me. I have a renewed Hope, He has spoken clearly and I BELIEVE Him. He has given me a promise, so now I wait, and hope and TRUST.

This morning my son, out of the blue, said, “Mommy you are the prettiest girl in the whole world.” He does not know how his words blessed a broken heart and a woman who feels everything but beautiful, especially right now. But once again God spoke to me through my child and they both spoke LIFE to me and shut the mouth of my accuser.

Out of the mouths of babes and unweaned infants You have established strength because of Your foes, that You might silence the enemy and the avenger. Psalm 8:2 (Amplified)

Nursing infants gurgle choruses about you;toddlers shout the songs that drown out enemy talk, and silence atheist babble. Psalm 8:2 (The Message)

My sons words drowned out the voice of the enemy...Praise God!

God often uses my kids to speak tender kindnesses into my life that I never hear in my marriage or in other relationships...words that I often long to hear. They are balm to my soul cause I know they come from the heart of the Lover of my soul through the pure lips of my children.

I'm praying for you!

God's words of encouragement, affirmation, comfort and hope glimmer forth from some of the mosts surprising places. Those people are never likely to know that their small gesture or unexamined words assured for your, once again, that God IS still watching over you - still accomplishing something - still adoring you - STILL THERE.

It always amazes me how God can use our children to encourage us and even as tools of correction. It is a even more wonderful when we have the ear to hear the voice of the Lord through them. Sometimes we get so busy or just caught up in our pity parties that we drown out His voice. But when we do hear, how comforting it is. Continue to be encouraged and know that all things work together for them who love the Lord.

With blessings,

Thank you for feeling like you could share so openly about your thought and feelings. We can all relate. I too went thru an alone time and it was SO SUPER hard. I'm coming out of it now and things are really good. I'd love to spend time together soon and talk thru things. I'm always here for you and I love you! God is and will use this.

Isn't it amazing how our children's words can be so healing and comforting? I love the verses you found. You are so right. It's easy to forget that the accusing, condemning thoughts are coming from the enemy and need to be silenced! God is so faithful.
